Development

Our energy generation and storage development business.

Dynamic. Connected. Sustainable.

Electric Land & Power (ELP) is our specialist development platform for renewable and flexible power generation and battery energy storage systems.

We identify, de-risk and deliver battery storage, flexible generation, EV charging, solar and wind infrastructure projects to Ready-to-Build or commercial operations.

What we do

We partner proactively with landowners to develop flexible generation and battery storage energy projects, supporting the transition to a sustainable energy system

Our flexible generation projects help balance supply, which supports energy, security, stability and reliability on the local and national electricity networks.

Battery storage (BESS)

Grid-scale storage that balances supply and demand and strengthens the network.

Flexible generation

Fast-response generation that supports security of supply at peak times.

EV charging

Charging infrastructure to support the electrification of transport.

Solar & Wind

Utility scale ground-mounted solar generation and onshore wind generation where conditions and planning allow.

Full Cycle
Delivery

Electric Land develops projects and remains invested throughout their lifecycle. We remain accountable at every stage – developing projects for long-term operational success. Our approach is grounded in local understanding of the market, with international experience in large-scale project delivery. We always look to invest for the long-term to create value for partners and local communities.

1.

Origination

We identify and secure strategic sites with grid capacity, planning potential and proximity to network infrastructure to make a project viable. Once a site is identified, we enter into a land option agreement with the landowner – allowing development to progress while the landowner continues normal use of the site.

2.

Grid connection

We engage with the network operator early, submitting the application and confirming the connection point and capacity. Grid viability is the foundation of every project, so we lock it in early.

3.

Planning & permitting

We take the project through the full planning and consenting process, preparing and submitting all technical and environmental documentation and working closely with the local authority and statutory bodies through to consent.

4.

Construction

With consent secured and the connection in place, we exercise the land option to acquire the site, then work with our delivery partners to move into implementation: groundworks, installation of the storage/generation equipment, electrical and mechanical works, grid connection and energisation, through to commissioning.

5.

Operation & long-term investment

Once live, we remain invested for the long-term, working alongside the IPP to unlock expansion and repowering opportunities – providing stability, continuity and a trusted long-term partner.
